SALT WITH ADITIVES
Salt with the addition of sodium nitrite is used in the industrial processing of meat, for the production of ham, sausages, hot dogs and other dried meat products, but also for other meat and fish products.
Nitrite salt is used for pickling meat as a homogeneous mixture of dietary sodium nitrite and table salt. It is produced on special mixers, intended for homogenization of a mixture of salt with other elements in strictly controlled production conditions.
Primarily, nitrite salt is used as a preservative, to prevent the formation of very dangerous toxins produced by bacteria Clostridium botulinum, which causes extremely dangerous poisoning of the abdominal organs. In addition, the role of this salt is to provide a red-pink color of meat products, that is, to keep the meat fresh until the process of processing or consumption.

Production is carried out ecologically and continuously by exploitation from the mountains of the province of Salzkammergut - Bad Ischl, Altaussee, Hallstatt, which in the Austrian Alps is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
